I am an Environmental Health Officer with a special interest in Vector Control. In fact, I work as a Vector Control Programme Manager with the Government of the British Virgin Islands. Previously, I worked as an EHO in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Woodshed Environment Coalition is but the first phase of a larger effort to attract other EHO’s and Vector professionals into a loose organization whose aim it would be to keep the peoples of our region and others abreast of the Environmental Health issues that matter to us. The goal is not merely to address those issues though; each and every post we write must speak to the role that the individual in the community of nations can play to deter the spread of infectious diseases and thereby alleviate human suffering and loss of productivity.
My blog is overly concentrated on Dengue prevention and control at present. However, it is envisaged that as authors come on board and the Coalition grows, the broad range of Environmental Health disciplines will eventually receive generous coverage on our pages.

THING YOU DID NOT KNOW ABOUT MOSQUITOES.... It would take 1,200,000 mosquitoes, each sucking once, to completely drain the average human of blood. (Sources: discovermagazine.com / anannimos.blogspot.com) - Now you know.

The link to the database is there TPC. It is on the last line of Comment 9 above.
In fact, I was reviewing the data a few hours ago and contemplated posting it up in full on this blog. However, I am holding back still because some jurisdictions have not forwarded their reports for all 52 weeks of 2007. But I might just post it as it is.
Oh, I meant to add that although you indicated the existence of a database on dengue, you failed to provide the link! I’d appreciate the link, thanks!
